Blank

Blank

Long days I have spent
seeking a sparkle, a match to my soul.
And I've looked for it in trees, ants and light
I dreamed at stars and above,
And there was nothing enough.

Distracted by shadows, unveiled bodies
that catch your passions
and set them in prison
illusions of freedom.
I chased for a moment of quiet.

Suddenly, thoughts have vanished
a warm gleam carving in shapes
the masterpiece of creation has smiled.
In time we get stuck for no end.
